Three reasons to join us at KIDS SAILING
The Ionian Islands are a lighter, greener version of Greece, with their cooler climate, abundant olive trees and forested mountains. We are sailing around the southern Ionians: Kefalonia, Meganisi, Kastos and Kalamos, each with its specific beauty.
You will have the chance to sunbathe on some of the most beautiful and wild beaches in the world in Kefalonia, swim in clear blue waters in Kastos, wander around on narrow streets in Kalamos and enjoy the romantic city of Fiskardo.
Route highlights
• Meganisi is the first stop on our route . The island was once a Venetian colony, which explains it’s unique style of architecture. The small town atmosphere with colorful houses and narrow streets and the great taverns with fresh food from the sea make this place a perfect kick start for the week.
• Kefalonia is the largest island on our trip. The beauty of the beaches and bays here is well known and appreciated. We will find the best ones and enjoy the wilderness. We will also explore the island traveling by car. This will take us around the island to the beautiful town of Assos, amazing Melissani cave and to the one of the most beautiful beaches in the world, Myrtos Beach.
• Kastos and Kalamos are two small gorgeous islands with quiet and remote beaches. A hike on the coast to the Windmill and the best homemade ice-cream will make the kids not want to leave this place. A walk on the narrow streets full with dining tables from the taverns is the best thing to do before heading back to the mainland.
